Design & Research Tool Kit

The Challenge

In order to enable the customers to update their subscriptions, we created the customer portal. The challenges are described as follow:

  1. Tight time schedule ( 1 week)
  2. Style alignment with brand
  3. Scalability for other potential features

Goals

  1. Grant users access to the account details.
  2. Enable communication between database and user-facing app.
  3. Visualize data in a user understandable way.

Project Schedule

This is a short-term project with a tight schedule, the goal is to prototype as quickly as possible and handover the scalable designs to the engineering team within one week. In order to achieve this, I followed the schedule and did a quick analysis of the needs, and define the color pattern and create icons in advance.

Manage Your Account

A quick illustration of how the portal works for users. I designed a simple hamburger menu to include different details users need access to. And for each item, a card-based design is used to display the details for the users. Whenever users need to update their info, they would go to the sub-screen for it, where still have view of where they are.

Elements

To increase the extendability of the design, and make it functional cross different devices, I used the card design pattern to create blocks for different features.
